Eat food from the smallest bowels, dishes, and plates that you can find. If anybody asks you about the meals you are eating, you can truthfully tell them you have had a plate full. Also a small dish or plate full to capacity looks more filling.
Believe it or not the color of the plate or saucer you are eating from can make people think that they have eaten more than they actually have done. Dark blue, a deep red, or black should work really well.
If you really have to eat something, then a little bit more often is better than a lot in a single sitting. Small snacks of healthy foods are better than a great big plate full of fatty foods, or sugar coated confectionery. Some food is better than none at all; it keeps your body going.
Drink more water as it makes you feel better in general, and also makes you feel fuller for longer, in other words it suppresses your appetite. After all, nobody usually bothers to eat if they already feel full.
Suck on a low calorie mint, or other type of sweet to boost your energy levels to detract you from the sensation of being hungry. Increased sugar levels can stop people from feeling faint, and prevent blood sugar levels falling too low.
Drinking, or eating something that is chilled, or even better frozen is another thinspo tip to the healthier controlling of your weight. Put simply, frozen food is good to eat as it makes your stomach feel fuller. Yoghurt, especially low fat yoghurt is perhaps the most suitable frozen snack to be eaten.
When dining out in company order a normal size portion, but do not eat all of it. Instead eat around half of it. Then get so engrossed in conversation that you forget to ask for the waiter or waitress to put the leftovers into a takeaway bag.
Alternatively when eating out, especially if in the company of people that know you need to stick within thinspo limits, just order yourself a kids meal. Generally kids’ meals are roughly half the size of adult portions. Many places offer healthier options such as carrots in place of French fries, and apple instead of a muffin. Kids’ meals are at least taking away the hunger pangs, whilst controlling the calorie intake.
Above all find a way of eating that suits you, do not feel guilty about what you are eating, and how much of it you are eating.
